What happens in the first session?
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask about what brings you to therapy, your history, and what you’re hoping for. You’re also encouraged to ask questions and notice how it feels to talk with me.
How long are sessions and how often do we meet?
Sessions are typically 45 minutes and most clients meet with me weekly, however, frequency can be adjusted depending on your needs and goals.
Do you offer virtual therapy?
No, I only offer in-person therapy for clients located in Washington, DC, and surrounding areas including Arlington, VA, Alexandria, VA, Bethesda, MD, and the DC Metro Area.
Do you offer a consultation?
Yes, I offer a free 15-minute consultation call for you to share a bit about what you’re looking for, answer any questions you have, and to see if working together feels like a good fit.
Do you offer LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy?
Yes, LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy is central to my practice. I provide therapy that explicitly affirms sexual orientation, gender identity, and diverse relationship structures. I also understand the impact of minority stress, internalized shame, and societal pressures on mental health.
Do you accept insurance?
I’m an out-of-network provider. Many clients choose to use out-of-network benefits, and I’m happy to provide documentation to help with reimbursement. Explore Fees and Insurance or contact me directly for additional information.
